Validating my ability to communicate with others and get my message across. Feeling powerful and capable.
Why did you submit this particular message? There's always a story behind our writing, what is yours?
To me, a healthy relationship is always being on your partner's side (whether that's a romantic partner, a friend, a business partner), listening to their needs and saying 'YES' to fulfilling that need. You might not be saying 'yes' to their exact ask, but getting to the core of what they want to achieve and supporting them through that is so important. With my message, I wanted to highlight to the special people in my life that I'll always say yes. I'll always travel halfway across the world to see them kick ass at a work event. I'll always join them on an adventure if they want me there. I'd go with them anywhere.
Who would benefit from receiving this message?
I think this message is perfect for traveling actually. At the end of a holiday between lovers or friends or family, thanking them for a great time. Sometimes we need a little keepsake, reminding us that when we let go and relax (and we are not stereotypically 'productive') we are still worthy of love and affection.
Are you an aspiring writer, poet, or artist?
I'm an actor and I write things occasionally (currently working on a non-fiction book), so storytelling is in my bones. I love letter writing and think it's one of the most beautiful things you can do, so...I submitted!
If you had to leave me with something about you, that makes you different, unique, special, what would it be?
My friends and family have always called me impulsive. I have very little routine in my life. But someone close to me recently reframed 'impulsive' to 'passionate and spontaneous', which I love. I think most people would agree.
How do you want to beknown?
I want to beknown as a great hugger.
